The Pistons’ number of 37.5 is eighth-highest in the Eastern Conference, which lines up nicely with ESPN’s projection of the Pistons as the eighth-best team in the East. Last year, the Pistons’ initial over-under number was 38.5 - an excellent selection, since the Pistons ended up winning 39 games.
Personally, 37.5 feels a little low, so I would take the over, but I acknowledge that I am more bullish than others on the current team because of the projected improvement of Luke Kennard and Stanley Johnson, as well as the addition of Glenn Robinson III. We’ve talked the Blake Griffin trade to death, but he’s also a big positive the Pistons didn’t have at this time last year.
Other writers at DBB agree with my bullishness - conditionally:
The Pistons are easy money on the over if they stay healthy. https://t.co/ULfSFkZ3ZO

If you think Detroit stays healthy, put your life savings, your partners life savings, maybe take out a second mortgage, and rob a bank to put it all on the Pistons over. https://t.co/jmyD1VAwOK

I trust Jamie’s gambling bona fides, but I would check in with your partner before taking out that second mortgage. Also, “If They Stay Healthy” should be the Pistons’ 2018-19 hashtag, apparently.
What say you, DBB? Would you take the over or under on 37.5? Let us know in the comments below.
