Andre Drummond named Eastern Conference player of the week

Andre Drummond has been beasting lately, and people are taking notice

Andre Drummond has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, according to the official NBA Twitter account.

The Pistons have won 12 of their last 15 games and have quickly risen up the Eastern Conference playoff standings. They are currently sitting on a five-game winning streak and are sixth in the conference, and it is largely due to the play of Andre Drummond.

He has been absolutely phenomenal on both ends of the court as he has averaged 22.3 points, 18 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and a 66.7 field goal percentage during the last week in which the Pistons went 3-0. The blocks do not come close to showing just how good Andre Drummond has been on defense. He is making shots at the rim difficult for everybody and using his quick hands to wreak havoc.

Hopefully Andre Drummond can keep up his dominance this week as they have a couple of huge games for playoff seeding purposes against the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat this week.

It has been a joy to watch Andre Drummond’s play the last month as he has been the best player on the court for the Pistons during most of their games during this hot streak.

Congratulations to Andre Drummond, and let’s keep it up and keep this playoff push going.
