Hey everyone. This is Laz Jackson of Detroit Bad Boys, and we’re talking about the new-look Detroit Pistons. Ben Gulker joins me to go through every transaction the Pistons have made this week - and there were a LOT of them. We also talk about some of the moves the Pistons didn’t make - like not bringing Christian Wood and Luke Kennard back to Detroit.
It’s a long one (there was a lot to talk about) so prepare your earbuds. Also, between this flurry of activity and the regular season’s swift return, I think it’s safe to say the podcast will be back to a regular, weekly schedule. It feels good to get the podcast back to its regular cadence.
I think it’s fair to say this team has not maximized asset accumulation in a way that other teams that are going through a rebuild have done. I also think it’s fair to say the Pistons are where they said they wanted to be in the short-and-long term. The destination is probably the same, but the Pistons are definitely taking a route we haven’t seen before in Detroit.
As always, we appreciate your continued support of the podcast, and the best way to do that is to share, subscribe, and leave comments - please leave comments on the discussion post on Detroit Bad Boys, that’s the best way for us to have the conversation we want to have around the podcast.
Thanks for listening, y’all. Enjoy the podcast:
