DBB Podcast: Premature Speculation

Ben and Laz talk about the Pistons’ two preseason games so far

DBB podcast

Hey everyone. This is Laz Jackson of Detroit Bad Boys, and on this week’s episode we talk about the Detroit Pistons’ first preseason games. Ben Gulker and I talk about Sekou Doumbouya’s big night, the brewing chemistry between Blake Griffin and Killian Hayes, and how Dwane Casey is adjusting his defense for the sixth-youngest team in the NBA.

There has been a lot to like about what we’ve seen from the Pistons so far this preseason. However, there is the obvious caveat that the Pistons have played the New York Knicks twice and that things will look different when they play a better basketball team. Playing a better basketball team will be good for the draft-fueled restoration and good for the development of the guys on the roster.

Also, we didn’t cover the news about some of the roster shakeups - the release of Louis King, LiAngelo Ball, and Anthony Lamb - because, honestly, I try not to read Twitter while recording the podcast. Didn’t see the news until after we wrapped up recording.

As always, we appreciate your continued support of the podcast, and the best way to do that is to share, subscribe, and leave comments - please leave comments on this discussion post, that’s the best way for us to have the conversation we want to have around the podcast.

Thanks for listening, y’all. Enjoy the podcast:
