Hey everyone. This is Laz Jackson of Detroit Bad Boys, and on this week’s episode we talk about the Detroit Pistons back-to-back meaningless losses. Ben Gulker and I talk about Blake Griffin’s newly limited offensive arsenal, preach patience with Killian Hayes’ play, and look at Jerami Grant’s two-way impact.
We recorded this podcast before we got the news that Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose would not be playing today’s game against the Atlanta Hawks because of load management. That would not have meaningfully made a difference in our analysis, I think, but I do want to note that it’s good the team is being more aggressive with Blake’s rest. As Ben and I both noted, Blake is not looking like the All-NBA version of himself. I, personally, am beginning to doubt if that guy ever returns, but what definitely won’t make him return is the current 39.7 minutes per game Blake is averaging.
As always, we appreciate your continued support of the podcast, and the best way to do that is to share, subscribe, and leave comments - please leave comments on this discussion post, that’s the best way for us to have the conversation we want to have around the podcast.
