Inside The Cylinder ep. 95: Positives and negatives from the start of the season

It’s Isaiah Stewart’s world, we’re just living in it

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

In this week’s episode of Inside The Cylinder, Matt and I discuss our early season takeaways from the beginning of the 2020-21 season. The Pistons have sputtered out the gates, having lost their first four games, but there’s reason to be optimistic about Detroit’s future - even though some of their young core haven’t played particularly well.

We’ll discuss the following topics:

  • Dwane Casey’s rotations - who should play and when? And do we agree with Casey electing for vets over their youth in crunch time?
  • Is there reason to be concerned about Killian Hayes?
  • Josh Jackson - free agent signing of the decade?
  • Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose’s future in Detroit
  • Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee’s fantastic start to the season
  • Sekou Doumbouya hasn’t played much this season - where is he going to find his minutes?

All that and more in this week’s episode!
