The Phoenix Suns are not likely to make the playoffs as some early-season promise has mostly fizzled. However, just because there won’t be any postseason action for Devin Booker and company doesn’t mean they shouldn’t soundly beat the Detroit Pistons.
The Suns are only 3-2 in their past five, but while they’ve dropped games to the Raptors and the Clippers they also notched convincing wins against the Warriors, Bulls and even the Jazz. They might not be a good team, but they are more than capable of beating most bad teams in the NBA. And the Pistons are certainly a bad team.
The Pistons are losers of seven straight and haven’t won a game since Feb. 5 against the ... hey, the Phoenix Suns. Maybe lightning will strike twice.
