Ron Marshall Memorial Mock Draft 2020: Sign Up! (filled)

Patrick Gorski-USA TODAY Sports

Normally we would wait until the season has ended and the draft order has been finalized, however, these are not normal times.

The Ron Marshall Memorial Mock Draft is an activity that honors one of the most beloved members of the DBB community. Ron Marshall was known for coming up with very complicated trades that actually worked. He also was a big part in making this activity what it is today. When it was first started, it was just going to be a mock draft. A handful of people, including him, asked for trades to be allowed. From there it sort of took on a life of its own. This will be year 6 of the activity, the 5th with it known as the RMMMD.

This will be first-come, first-serve. The teams will be randomly assigned. After that, we will use Tankathon to simulate the lottery.

The draft will occur 1 week after we begin to give people time to evaluate their needs, make trades, and gives time to people who may have not realized we began already. After the conclusion of the draft, we will move on to free agency where someone will represent the player's agent and negotiate with teams.

To sign up just comment "I'm in" or something like that down below.

Expansion vote:

Should the RMMMD add two expansion teams?

These two teams would be the Seattle SuperSonics and a Vancouver team known as the Swamp Dragons. This expansion would have both of these teams located in the West, which would lead to the Memphis Grizzlies being moved to the East.

Each pre-existing team would be able to protect 8 players, only 1 player from each team can be selected.

After the lottery has been conducted, the two expansion teams will be awarded the 5th and 6th selections in round 1, as well as the first two selections of the second round (now picks 33 and 34). Draft order for these two teams will be decided by a coin toss, winner will receive their choice of either 5th pick, 34th pick, and 2nd in expansion draft order or 6th, 33rd, and 1st in expansion draft order.
