The Detroit Pistons are a long (long) way from playing basketball. The NBA Playoffs, however, are in full swing.
Consider this your open thread to talk Lakers vs Nuggets and Heat vs. Celtics.
Can the improbably scrappy Nuggets cheat death yet again? Well, the 1-2 punch of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic seems nearly as formidable as LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as crazy as that sounds.
Jokic is doing things we've never really seen at this size and volume while Murray is hoisting from everywhere and seemingly always coming through when it matters.
Out East, meanwhile, I am forced to root for the dang Miami Heat who are a team nearly impossible to hate. They are well coached, have few egos save the loveable asshole known as Jimmy Butler and play a great style of basketball. Plus, I can't root for the Celtics.
True, Marcus Smart seems born with Pistons DNA coarsing through his veins and Jayson Tatum is both good and drives Sixers fans crazy, which is a plus. But it's still Boston.
