NBA Finals Open Thread: LA Lakers vs Miami Heat

Talk about basketball while it lasts

NBA: Finals-Miami Heat at Los Angeles Lakers Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The most bizarre NBA season in history is drawing to a close featuring two teams who didn't even make the playoffs last year. Never happened before. Neat!

The LA Lakers featuring LeBron James, Anthony Davis, a stupefyingly good Rajon Rondo and a very much paid KCP against the impossible to hate Miami Heat and proud country asshole Jimmy Butler, the great Erik Spoelstra and #HeatCulture.

It's the the Clippers we expected or the small-market Bucks. It's not the annoying Clippers or the insufferable Sixer (fans). But it still should be a great series.

Mostly because Rondo and Goran Dragic look eight years younger and unsung players like Alex Caruso (actually he is sung about plenty), former Michigan sniper Duncan Robinson or the incredibly confident and reasonably effective Tyler Herro could be the difference-maker. Plus, this could really be a Bam Adebayo coming out party.

This could be the last competitive basketball we see until January, February ... even March. Enjoy it!
