The Detroit Pistons are set to face off against the Atlanta Hawks for the second time this season today. In the season’s earlier matchup, the Pistons fell 128-120 behind a 29-point performance from Trae Young. In that game, Young hit some ridiculous 3s and also went 15-of-15 from the line. Detroit’s defense is not quite the mess it was in game three of the season, so hopefully that means a few less trips to the charity stripe for Young.

That game was also the unofficial coming out party for Jerami Grant. He scored 28 points in 43 minutes in the double overtime disappointment in Cleveland, and followed it up with 27 points against the Hawks.

Importantly, he started showcasing just how explosive he was off the dribble, and that he was able to create his own offense with his first step, length and touch around the basket. He also canned three 3s and fans were starting to think maybe Grant was worth being a $20 million man after all.
