Sekou Doumbouya has enjoyed what is likely his best stretch of the season the last three games with the Detroit Pistons. The 20-year-old is averaging 8.7 points, and 3.0 rebounds a game while shooting 50% from the field and from deep.
The numbers don't do him much justice, as he’s been visibly more involved with the team’s offense these last three games and seems to have found a role on both sides of the ball.
This is not at all a coincidence.
In this video, I will tell you why Doumbouya has played so well, and why it seems like he’s finally involved in this team's offense. I will break down why he’s scoring more, and why it * feels * like he’s been more active on both ends.
While doing this, I’ll lay out a very easy way the Pistons can continue to help Doumbouya play well and put him in the best positions to succeed.
