The Cade Cunningham era begins ... probably

Cade Cunningham will make his NBA debut for the Detroit Pistons tonight against the Orlando Magic. Cunningham, the No. 1 overall pick, has missed Detroit’s first four games with an ankle injury. Head coach Dwane Casey says the team plans to take it slow with him:

As far as reasonable expectations, well, there should be no expectations. Cunningham has played sparingly for more than a month and only has a few practices with the Motor City Cruise in the G League and one Pistons practice under his belt.

Casey said before game time “there will be rust.” Sure. But it’ll just be nice to finally see him on the floor in the Pistons red, white and blue.
