Joel Embiid is playing tonight, so it will be a tough game as the Detroit Pistons look to rebound against the Philadelphia 76ers. Detroit is coming off what will hopefully remain its worst game of the season, while Philly is likely already smelling blood after handling Detroit 110-102 earlier this season. In that game, Embiid scored 30 points and added 18 rebounds as Detroit had no defensive answers. Hopefully, tonight will be different.

Pregame Reading

  • The big story on Robert Sarver dropped and it’s an ugly look at alleged racism, misogyny and a toxic workplace culture, written by the esteemed Baxter Holmes at ESPN.
  • The NBA has already announced it will be launching an internal investigation into the Suns.
  • In slightly happier news, offense isn’t just down for Detroit, it’s down everywhere. And that’s normal for the start of the season. Seth Partnow has more at The Athletic.
