You heard it here first, well sort of...

Ok, ok, you all know that the Pistons are listening to trade offers for Jerami Grant. I can't say you heard it from me first there, but how about a deal that's brewing. Maybe it's news, or maybe you've already heard about it too. Anyway, here goes.

The Indiana Pacers are looking at how they can move Domantas Sabonis back to the 5. The idea is that Jerami Grant might be the right piece and ultimately be more valuable as a 3 and D 4. This would be a big move for both teams as Detroit isn't looking to give up their premier player for little value.

The take on this would be that the Pacers might be willing to move Myles Turner in what would be a relatively close salary exchange ($20M vs $18M). There are other moving pieces in play of course and it could spin into a three team deal. Although a western conference team like Memphis might make more sense, Atlanta also seems motivated to make a move as they've been on the fringe looking in at the play-off picture.

Some names being bantered about include Cam Reddish of Atlanta, Josh Jackson of Detroit, and Brandon Clarke of Memphis.

Would Detroit look better with Turner to pair up with Stewart? It might be a good match if Stewart can brush up his 3-pt shooting a bit. Does Grant and Sabonis make Indiana better? I don't know, I do like Grant's versatility a lot. Just how much value Troy Weaver can squeeze out of a deal will be interesting to watch.

My sources for trade info are limited - they're being very tight lipped too. On the surface of it changing things up and adding a big man seems to match the MO of Troy Weaver and simply doesn't seem like it would hurt the results that we've been having.

I wonder if anything might bubble up about Killian Hayes. I hear that he's too young to give up. I hear he's a valuable defensive piece. Yet, I also wonder how long you hold a player that doesn't score and isn't really being groomed as your future PG anymore can be perceived as untouchable. Stay tuned on that matter. I think the Saben Lee fan club is growing and we should see him a bit more in the coming games.
