Tuesday’s scheduled matchup between the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs is postponed following a positive COVID test within the Spurs organization, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
There is no word on whether the positive test came from a player, coaching staff or elsewhere within the Spurs organization.
The postponement is the third the Pistons have dealt with so far this season after seeing games between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics postponed previously. Detroit was able to make up the Celtics game last Friday and won 108-102.
Detroit has just nine games left in the released portion of the NBA schedule. Detroit, winners of three of its past four games, has the third-lowest winning percentage in the NBA behind the aforementioned Wizards and the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have played most of the season without the services of Karl-Anthony Towns.
We will provide more details about the cancellation and any word on when it will be rescheduled when we have more information.
