Let’s play some basketball, please

Game On! After a last-minute cancellation of last night’s Pistons-Nuggets matchup, I am surprised but relieved that tonight’s game is being played (for now). A Detroit player had an inconclusive COVID-19 test that threw everything in doubt, but’s all been cleared up, the Pistons are in Utah, and they are ready to face Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley.

Of course, just as likely is Jordan Clarkson goes nuclear off the bench for like 35 points off the bench. As far as what Detroit can do? Well, the Jazz attack is pretty much built entirely around the 3-point line, and the Pistons’ 3-point defense is sometimes a horror show. So this game could get very ugly, or they could tighten things up and turn it into an offensive slugfest.
