Balša Koprivica signs three-year deal with KK Partizan

Detroit Pistons selected Koprivicia in the second round of the NBA Draft

Balša Koprivica, the 7-foot big man out of Florida State, signed a three-year deal with KK Partizan in Serbia. Koprivicia was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 57th overall pick in the NBA Draft, but didn’t have a route to a roster spot or a two-way contract with the Pistons.

By signing with Partizan, Koprivica is returning to the club he began his burgeoning professional career as he played there as a youth before moving to the US to play high school and college basketball.

His father, Slavisa Koprivica was also a member of the team when the club when the 1992 EuroLeague.

The Detroit Pistons will retain the big man’s rights should he decide to come back from overseas and try to catch on in the NBA.

The Pistons currently have 16 players under contract and two players signed to two-way deals. The team has until the end of preseason to get down to the 15-player roster limit.
