HoopsHype did a rundown on who they ranked in the top 20 at each position. I was happy to see Cade Cunningham make their list at #8 for point guards, and Jerami Grant was ranked 12th on their lists of power forwards. Still I think there is room for more Pistons to join these lists in 2022-23. What do you think?
Here's my hopeful forecast:
PG Cunningham rises to #7 from #8, usurping Shai Gilgeous-Alexander but not surpassing Damian Lillard at #6.
SG Jaden Ivey makes the list at #17 and fighting to be ranked just below #16 below Derrick White of Boston.
SF Saddiq Bey makes the list at #20 pushing Harrison Barnes off the list.
PF Isaiah Stewart makes the list also at #20 over PJ Tucker. In my opinion, Stewart should have been the 20th center on the list for this past season's work.
C I'm reaching here but going to push for Jalen Duren to make the list also at #20 over Dwight Powell.
Although the team has representation at all five positions, the depth to support them is an issue since they shouldn't be pushed to play probably quite as much as more mature veterans.
