Let’s talk basketball earlier than usual

The two worst teams in the NBA recently conducted a trade that, for today anyway, make them even worse. Moreso in the case of the Detroit Pistons, who traded two mostly rotation players in Isaiah Livers (who had started recently in Isaiah Stewart’s absence) and Marvin Bagley, who was the first big off the bench until the team transitioned to James Wiseman as Marv was seemingly in an impending trade.

The Washington Wizards, meanwhile, lose two marginally involved veterans on expiring contracts in Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala. Neither was shooting well enough to warrant many minutes, but that is also two less bodies available as the two franchises square off today in D.C. Bojan Bogdanovic is also unavailable for the Pistons today, making offense even harder to come by than usual. The Wizards are all available save for new members Bagley and Livers.
